At Downunder Solar & Electrical we recognize that each household’s power consumption is unique. Therefore, we custom design every power system to suit your individual energy needs. System design is ultimately one of the most important aspects in achieving the right balance of solar equipment thus ensuring your system will provide adequate power for your daily needs.

Our expert designer will assist you to determine what type and size of system will best suit your needs and budget.

A fully comprehensive Load Analysis Form is available for completion. This form will assist you to determine your daily power requirements room by room. Our designer can assist you to make wiser power decisions thus reducing your daily power consumption.

Sales:
We sell all components required to assemble a new solar power system as well as items needed to expand and improve existing systems. You can take comfort in knowing that every aspect of your inquiry will be personally handled by our knowledgeable designer/installer.

Installation:
Installation of all our systems are carried out in accordance with local and provincial codes.

The standard process to install a system usually follows these steps:

Initial system inquiry by phone, email or in person.

Downunder Solar & Electrical consults with customer to determine individual requirements. At this stage, a Load Analysis Form and/or Initial Inquiry Form may be sent out to customer.

Site inspection may be scheduled to assess the desired location or possible sites for the system. At this time, the designer and customer may go over the completed forms to discuss power usage and required permits. There is an applicable fee for this inspection. The fee is dependent upon the site’s distance from Kingston, Ontario. This fee is refundable should the customer proceed with the purchase of a complete solar power system from Downunder Solar & Electrical.

After site inspection, Downunder Solar & Electrical will provide customer with a proposal including a cost estimate as well as a full system design.

Upon approval of the proposal, Downunder Solar & Electrical will require a 50% deposit before we can proceed with the order.

Installation is completed and system is commissioned, at which time full payment on the balance of the system and installation is required.

Services:
Downunder Solar & Electrical offers exceptional after sales service to all of our existing and new customers. We strongly believe that a regular maintenance program will prolong the life of your system and will protect your solar investment. We offer a quarterly site visit whereby we examine your battery levels; check hydrometer readings; clean battery terminals and solar panels as required and perform a full electrical component check. For your reference, all site visits will be properly documented in an onsite logbook.
