Located in Kingston, Ontario, Downunder Solar Inc is an independently owned business with over 25 years industry experience providing Off-Grid Solutions including Solar Power, Off-Grid Appliances, Incinerating Toilets, Wood & Gas Heating and much more. We service the area between Prince Edward County and Perth, Ontario.


We design, install and service all of our solar power systems. Whether you are seeking an off-grid solution for your remote home or cottage or if you want to reduce your electricity consumption with a NET Metering Solar System, our systems are well designed, reliable, safe and durable for the Canadian climate.

        Downunder Solar Inc has been designing and installing unique solar power solutions in Eastern Ontario since 2007. Kurt was a Master Electrician in Australia with 25 years experience. His training, expertise and accreditation enabled him to specialise in the design and installation of Photovoltaic Systems in Australia. After relocating to Kingston in 2006, he upgraded his knowledge to adapt to Canadian standards and formed Downunder Solar Inc.

8 Hour Backup Power System

Operate your water pump, furnace fan, some lights and plugs, fridge, freezer, and internet for up to 8 hours in the event of a power outage.


Kit Includes:

 

  • Schneider 4000W Pure Sinewave Inverter Charger System
  • 24V 200Ah AGM Battery Pack
  • Built, tested, and programmed in our shop.


These batteries can be recharged with a generator to extend the runtime in the event of a prolonged outage.

The solar modules are mounted on a pre-fabricated racking system on the roof of the container. Assembled on site.
